Everydayfiction.com denies Why - 05/29/09 9:27 pm
Sadly, my story Why (located in the Flash Fiction section of the site) was denied by everydayfiction.com. The editors' feedback on the story itself was mostly good; they liked my voice and said it was well written. However, they seemed to feel that it wasn't the right story for their particular site. One editor stated that sci-fi fans won't read far enough to get to the reveal while non-sci-fi fans won't care about the reveal. Although I respectfully disagree, I can see their point. Oh well. Perhaps another site (one that specializes in sci-fi) will publish it.
